Returns are free within the UK.

Delivery

Delivery to mainland UK via UPS costs £7.50. We aim to have your order with you within 3 business days. If you input your email address and phone number you will get your tracking number and tracking updates from UPS.

Cancellation

If you are ordering from within the UK, you have the right to cancel your purchase from us for whatever reason within 14 days of purchasing (excluding products made to order, please see below).  If you decide to cancel and return your purchases, you will be reimbursed for all relevant charges.  More details are on our Terms & Conditions page.

Some of our products are made to order. This includes our fabric lampshades. If you are ordering a lampshade which will have to be made for you, it will not be possible to reimburse you on cancellation of your order. If the lampshade hasn't shipped to you yet, we will reimburse you 50% of the price paid for the shade. If your shade has been shipped, we will not be able to reimburse you.

For international transactions, we will not be able to refund your currency exchange fees, duty, sales tax or disbursement fees etc. Any fees payable by us to receive an international return may be deducted from the value of your refund.

UK Returns

Returns from within the UK are free. Our goal is for you to be completely satisfied with the items you purchase from us. If you are not or if your order was damaged in transit, contact us through the Contact Us form on the website or simply email us at info@sansho.com within 14 days of receiving your order for a full refund or exchange (excluding products made to order for you - please see below). Naturally, you may look at and examine the items. However, please handle them with care and only to establish their nature & characteristics. For guidance, you may handle a product as you would have been allowed to in a store. If you handle a product beyond this, you may be held liable for any diminished value of it. Please return unwanted or incorrect items in resalable condition, preferably in the original packaging, within 28 days of receiving your order. Please notify us by email (including the reason for the return) and we will send you a pre-paid returns label (UK customers only). Package your items carefully (preferably in the original packaging), attach the returns label and drop off at the appropriate location.

Some of our products are made to order. This includes our fabric lampshades. If you are ordering a lampshade which will have to be made for you, it will not be possible to offer free returns.

We cannot offer free returns for items bought on sale, these will have to be returned at your expense.

International delivery

We regularly ship outside the UK, especially to the USA and mainland Europe.

To the USA: We normally use UPS (and sometimes use Royal Mail or Parcelforce) and it takes roughly 1 to 4 business days from posting, depending on the location.

To the EU: please see details here. All prices include EU Sales Tax, you will not pay anything extra..

To Israel: please see details here. All prices include Israeli Sales Tax, you will not pay anything extra.

To Australia: please see details here. Sorry, shipping to Australasia is expensive, but we can't find anything cheaper. You may have to pay Duty or Sales Tax on arrival in Australia.

To Canada: please be aware that you may have to pay Sales Tax and/or Customs Duty on arrival in Canada before delivery.

To Switzerland: please be aware that you may have to pay Sales Tax and/or Customs Duty on arrival in Switzerland before delivery. 

If you are combining several different items with large lampshades, our system can add extra postage on. If this seems to be happening to your shopping cart, please get in touch and we will investigate for you. We will always try and minimise the delivery cost for you.

Boxes normally have compensation cover up to £60, if this is a concern, please get in touch.

We need a named addressee, we cannot deliver to PO Boxes, or to a residential address without a name. If your delivery location is not on our site, please just drop us a line and we will be able to arrange something.

Unclaimed International Deliveries

The rules vary by jurisdiction, but many postal services will only attempt one delivery and then expect the recipient to book re-delivery. In the US for example, USPS will only attempt to deliver once and then the package will be returned to sender after 5 days if left unclaimed. Unclaimed packages are usually because of a wrong address or failure to re-schedule delivery. If tracking shows that a delivery attempt was made, but for some reason the package remained unclaimed, and the package is subsequently returned to us, normally we will not be able to refund you the postage.
