These rich 100% natural indigo kasuri cottons only come in kohaba (kimono sleeve) width, so this wonderful broken square pattern is combined with linen for a luxurious 50cm square cushion. Some flat velvet piping between the pattern and the linen adds some lustre and texture. The kasuri process is time-consuming but results in this wonderful characteristic blurred precision. The technique is suited to this kind of abstract geometric pattern.
