The Makuzu family have ben making high quality Kyo-yaki style ceramics in Kyoto since the 1680s.The Makuzu family have pieces in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts among others and often have exhibitions in Kyoto and Tokyo. Famous for very decorative lead-fired tea bowls, we love these gently glazed vases that are ever present on the Makuzu family tokonoma.
