Good quality Urushi, Nuri, or just plain lacquer is underpinned by top quality wood turning. We prefer lacquerware which is either clear or slightly opaque. This lets us enjoy the beauty of the variation in the natural wood grain.

Safe to eat off, lightweight and tactile - Japanese have used lacquer for centuries both for practical items but also decorative and ceremonial pieces.
