Blue & White Arita porcelain

All our porcelain is hand-painted at the Shingama kiln in Arita - the traditional capital of blue and white porcelain in Japan.  The more skilful the painter, the larger the brush, only then can you get a consistent flow of paint for the more intricate patterns.  For our geometric patterns, it is also quite a skill to draw straight lines with such a large brush.
