In addition to our popular pasta plates, we now have some flat plates with the beautiful Donten or "cloud" glaze from Yanase Tobo. These are very flat and are great with no rim and also work very well as cheese plates or as serving plates.

Meet the Maker:
Yanase Tobo
We only found Yanase san because of a single rice bowl we saw in an Echizen "michi-no-eki". We used a spare afternoon to track him down and we have worked together ever since.
His Donten glaze is particularly popular and we have expanded the range to include ramen bowls and sushi plates. Still working from his parents' house, he has managed to complete projects for restaurants and designers across the world.
