These have to be touched to be truly appreciated. Paper-thin and feather-light, these bowls are first turned by hand and then shaped in hot water by gently pinching. Each shape is slightly different and the pinching of the bowls can result in a slight wobble to the bowl giving it a life of its own. These are food safe, but people outside Japan generally use these as decorative objects.
