Mikan Glaze Guinomi

£3200

You can feel the subtle turned ridges in the sides of the guinomi as well as the great lumps and gobs of glassy glaze as they drip down the edge. Then peering inside, it looks like there is a frozen pool of Suzuki san's trademark blue glaze. Tactile and good-looking these are a great pair with his katakuchi.

Meet the Maker:

Kobo Daidai

Suzuki san has mastered the bright blue citrus ash crackle glaze which shimmers on his pieces like the waves on Tokyo Bay, which you can glimpse from his tiny studio in Kanagawa just South of Tokyo.

His pottery studio has more guitars in it than ceramics, becuase he loves to tinker with them and mend them in his spare time.
