This almost looks like a classical grecian shape, but it is the perfect size to fit in your hand with the flared rim keeing it securely in your grasp. The slight orange tinge to the clay hints at Shigaraki clay, but it is mixed from several clays including Arita porcelain clay to make a smooth, refined, yet mottled and tactile body.

Suzuki san has mastered the bright blue citrus ash crackle glaze which shimmers on his pieces like the waves on Tokyo Bay, which you can glimpse from his tiny studio in Kanagawa just South of Tokyo.
His pottery studio has more guitars in it than ceramics, becuase he loves to tinker with them and mend them in his spare time.
