A beautiful limited set of sake choko by Takatori Yuko. A similar shape to those made by her father and brother, these are set apart by her use of bright colours with hints of browns and greens. The lightness of touch and the delicate cloudy layers of glazing are mesmerising when they are in your hand. The foot of these cups are also left unglazed and they are a pleasure to hold and use. Because of the similarity in shape, Takatori Yuko decided not to make these any more, and we are thankful she decided to let us have these ones!

Care Guide

Like all tableware and handmade homewares, our products should be used with some degree of care to help keep them looking good. These are stoneware, suitable for everyday life and both dishwasher safe and microwave safe. By virtue of its fine making, Takatori products are more delicate, so we do often recommend washing by hand but there is no problem putting them in the dishwasher.

Takatori Yuko

Takatori Yuko is the youngest daughter of the Takatori family and is forging her own path as ceramicist using the traditional glazes and techniques but applying them in sophisticated layers and colours. These pieces have her own mark on them, not the Takatori family seal, so she can experiment a little bit more.
