Delightful smaller vases in a mix of carved shinogi patterns varying between 11 and 12cm high and 7 and 8cm wide. These are great because they are bright and tactile, easy to use with any colour flower, and in the light the shadows over the dynamic shinogi carving looks very pretty.

Fukushima Kiln

Fukushima san's work features swirling hand-carved indentations called shinogi. Whether they remind you of ripples in the water, flowers or maybe the ripples in sand dunes, they are incredibly tactile and satisfying to touch. Fukushima san prefers a bright white body, but our taste leans towards the pieces more flecked with yellow and grey.
