Looking like the half on an alien exotic fruit, this shape shows off Suzuki san's skill at turning and glazing. Once you pick it up, you realise it is actually hollow and glazed inside. The combination of the crackle glaze and the blues in the glaze as it pools on the top is breathtaking.

Meet the Maker:
Kobo Daidai
Suzuki san has mastered the bright blue citrus ash crackle glaze which shimmers on his pieces like the waves on Tokyo Bay, which you can glimpse from his tiny studio in Kanagawa just South of Tokyo.
His pottery studio has more guitars in it than ceramics, becuase he loves to tinker with them and mend them in his spare time.
