Twisted Cordset - Brown

High quality brass E27 lampholder and 1.5m of brown twisted silk cord that you can use with all our lamp shades, but especially with our wooden lamp shades (please note, a ceiling rose is not included)

Most of our paper lampshades do not need a specific cord and lampholder, they will work with any flex. Our wooden lamp shades however, have a very specific aperture size and these lampholders fit perfectly, our wooden lamp shades are rated to only be used with these lampholders. If you are buying this to use with our wooden shades, you will need the shade rings. If you are buying to use this with a paper shade, then you do not need the shade rings if the product page asks you to choose a cord grip.

These are not UL certified for use in the USA, so we cannot ship them to the USA, although it is simple to buy similar sockets. We can recommend where to buy sockets in the USA and have adapters to fit all our shades - please get in touch if you have any questions about using our lighting in the USA.

Meet the Maker:

Kittaka Orimono

Hiroshima prefecture covers the old feudal domain of Bingo, which used to specialise in very colourful kasuri weaving and dying. That industry has pretty much disappeared and the only survivor is the Kittaka weaving company who produce a heavier cotton kasuri.

The also used to weave with persimmon dyed cotton, with a lovely warm rusty colour, but that too has know sadly died out as the supplier of traditional persimmon dye has shut up shop.
