The large flat bottom helps the citrus ash glaze concentrate into a fiery blue pool, and the ripples in the sides give more visual interest as well as making the bowl even more tactile and appealing

Kobo Daidai

Suzuki san has mastered the bright blue citrus ash crackle glaze which shimmers on his pieces like the waves on Tokyo Bay, which you can glimpse from his tiny studio in Kanagawa just South of Tokyo.

His pottery studio has more guitars in it than ceramics, becuase he loves to tinker with them and mend them in his spare time.
