The same shape and size as our popular Donten mugs, these have the donten glaze on the inside but only splashes around the outside. Each mug will be different with its own character, if you would like pictures of the available mugs, please just ask!

Hand thrown by Yanase san at the Yanase Kiln in Echizen on the North side of Japan.

Meet the Maker:

Yanase Tobo

We only found Yanase san because of a single rice bowl we saw in an Echizen "michi-no-eki". We used a spare afternoon to track him down and we have worked together ever since.

His Donten glaze is particularly popular and we have expanded the range to include ramen bowls and sushi plates. Still working from his parents' house, he has managed to complete projects for restaurants and designers across the world.
