Care Guide

Like all tableware and handmade homewares, our products should be used with some degree of care to help keep them looking good. These are fired at a high temperature but Hiraoka san recommends handwashing and not putting in the dishwasher or microwave.

Meet the Maker:

Hiraoka Jin

Hiraoka san's work has a sculptural roughness to it and is often combined with a crackle glaze for maximum effect - or with one of the vibrant blue wood ash glazes which is becoming a signature of his.

Hiraoka san is great company, chatting about football, cars or dogs, and his cheerful demeanour comes through in his hand-made ceramics.
