To match our Donten plates, we have a new range of mugs. These are Japanese style teacups without handles which can also be used as soba choko. They are the right thickness for your hands not to get scalded, but thin enough to feel refined on the lips.

Meet the Maker:

Yanase Tobo

We only found Yanase san because of a single rice bowl we saw in an Echizen "michi-no-eki". We used a spare afternoon to track him down and we have worked together ever since.

His Donten glaze is particularly popular and we have expanded the range to include ramen bowls and sushi plates. Still working from his parents' house, he has managed to complete projects for restaurants and designers across the world.
