Donten Ramen Bowl

Traditional ramen bowls in Yanase san's signature Donten, or "cloud" glaze. These are lovely to hold and use - and not just for ramen. Large enough to be a small fruit bowl, salad bowl or branch out into curry udon or even a spicy laksa.

Meet the Maker:

Yanase Tobo

We only found Yanase san because of a single rice bowl we saw in an Echizen "michi-no-eki". We used a spare afternoon to track him down and we have worked together ever since.

His Donten glaze is particularly popular and we have expanded the range to include ramen bowls and sushi plates. Still working from his parents' house, he has managed to complete projects for restaurants and designers across the world.
